This was my first Grand Outlandish and I drove out with friends from Phoenix to attend. In charge of our expedition was Mistress Julia of Blackwater with her famous Blackwater Mead. I met so many friends at that event that are still friends even to this day. Mark Lacey of Westminister and Hieronymus the Sarabite showed me how to find the star constellation Orion, even though it took forever because of my poor eyesite (Thanks guys!) I also met Johann von hohen Staffen and was quite charmed by him when he sung in the bardic a song dedicated to me.
Years ago, Mark Lasie of Westminster and I set up a notebook with a page for every month and started taking notes on Outlands history. It wasn't a very efficient way to go, but it was something.
That can be done better here, in public, with links to online documentation of various events and people, and with easy access to adding memories, details and comments.
Louis-Philippe has a wiki, and entries there can be linked here too, and maybe posts from the Outlands-History list. Some of that history, though, is not date-specific.
This blog can be a quick repository of people's memories and trivia concerning specific times and events.
Cut and paste the bad copy, edit it the way you want it, and post that. Go back and delete the one you don't want. A moderator will come by and delete the "this post was deleted" note.
